"What future for the Mediterranean Port Systems: trends, challenges and opportunities"

ProjectCUSTOM MED builds synergies with other projects facilitating maritime freight exchanges in the Mediterranean. Last 9th May 2013 an international conference was organised by FUTUREMED and MEDNET, two strategic projects funded by the ETC Med Programme. During the session on "The future of EU customs: systems in comparison", Mr. Fabio Ballini, coordinator of CUSTOM MED, reviewed the steps taken by the project to develop common customs procedures between Aqaba, Beirut, Genoa, Piraeus and Alicante ports".
